Aggressive Elephant Encounter

Tarra’s Journey

The Asian elephant Tarra, taken from her mother at the age of 6 months, experienced life in the US from her beginnings as a mascot for a tire dealer, to being a performer in zoos and theme parks for 20 years, before living a more natural existence commensurate with her well-being for 26 years in the Elephant Sanctuary Tennessee, co-founded by Carol Buckley in 1995.
